The firm is delighted to announce that Advocate Michelle Palmer made the final of the Island’s inaugural Le Rossignol Estates White Collar Surfing Competition.
The competition took place at St Ouen’s Bay and was a huge success, with decent waves for the competitors, lots of sunshine for the spectators, as well as lots of laughs.
Following a disastrous first heat, in which Michelle drifted all the way to the lifeguard hut at the Line Up, spending her time paddling back to the competition area, she entered the second heat. Michelle’s perseverance paid off by progressing into the final. We are all extremely proud of Michelle given her fear of the sea. What a fantastic achievement.
The event was photographed by the very talented Salty Lens and the full gallery can be viewed at https://saltylens.co.uk/2019/07/14/white-collar-surf/
Almost £7,000 was raised in support of Healing Waves – Ocean Therapy and Peas&Glove with each receiving just over £3,300 and many of the competitors joined Jeremy Le Rossignol of Le Rossignol Estates in presenting the cheques to the charities.
The experience is one which Michelle will never forget. Whilst remaining terrified of the sea, Michelle is still surfing, which says everything about the impact of the experience for her.
Le Rossignol Estates will run the event again next year – check their Facebook page for registration information.
