On Friday 16th September LGL held its 5th annual Golf Day at St Clement’s Golf Club raising money for our chosen charity, Beresford Street Kitchen.
Eight teams fought it out on the day and whilst there were some good scores, nobody got a hole in one to win the car on offer!
The winning team called the ‘Bogey bunch’ from Cunningham Car Centre was made up gf Andy Cunningham, Garry Yeardley, David Clayton and Nick Hooper who held off the challenge of Gaudin & Co in second place with European Insurance Brokers in third.
The sun shone all morning and the conditions were wonderful.
Following golf the players were treated to a bbq prepared and served by BSK who did us proud, and this was followed by prize giving and the raffle.
The day was a huge success with nearly £9,000 raised. Georgie Dodd from BSK said, ‘This really is one of our favourite events of the year and generates an amazing amount of money. A huge thank you to LGL not only for fundraising but for choosing us as the caterer too.’
